A Search For New President of Gallaudet Will Begin.

The BoT of Gallaudet announced that it will begin a search for the new president in the spring of 2009. Davila will not be involved in the presidential search.

The new presidential position will become effective in 2010. A lesson had been learned from the previous search which was hurriedly conducted and completed within a very short time. Traditionally a search for a new president is time consuming and lengthy.

The most important part of the announcement is ‘The board says this search process will be transparent and inclusive with town hall meetings’ I cannot stress enough the importance of full transparency and inclusion within the Gallaudet Community.

Personally I want to extend my congratulations again to Davila for an outstanding job he did as an interim President. The years of neglect on the academic rigors and the climate on the campus under Jordan Administration have taken its toll, resulting in a massive protest. The MSCHE investigation turned up many weaknesses and placed Gallaudet on academic probation. I got to hand it to Davila. He managed not only to improve the academic rigors with excellent teamwork of Gallaudet stakeholders, but also got the accreditation of Gallaudet back on a good standing. He also contributed with ASL being formally recognized as an important aspect of Gallaudet.  Gallaudet to launch search for new president – Examiner.com

For Democrats: Somebody had fun with this. Clicking your mouse on the scenery can  generate various short video and audio clips, with some of them having  multiple results. When the arrow becomes the hand pointing, that’s your cue to click.  http://www.palinaspresident.com/ Some of this is for hearing but some is visual, hope you enjoy! be sure to click on everything more than once, some change. Warning: Not recommended for touchy Republicans ;)

How hilarous of Palin as Queen Palin!

That would be not really surprised at all if the reality hit America for Sarah and Dan Palin run the U.S.A together after the mysterious death of President John McCain.

I could see Sarah Palin as a power-hungry pol herself along with the Svengali Dan Palin.

Joseph, I didn’t see that one before. Thanks for including the link. I see that there is a lot of work ahead for the presidential search committee.

    ASLRisen,

I am really glad that you and other deaf people think same things about the Palins.

What kind of so-called reformer like Sarah Palin spent more than $150,000 to furnish her own image before the national convention?

There are too many questionable issues about Sarah Palin’s candidacy.

Many thanks for the reply. I always appreciate your vlogcast.

I must get some time to do the vlogcast and video comment real soon. I keep procrasinating of doing it. :(

I got real bad vibes about James McFadden as a PSC chairperson. He was not really friendly and approachable and willing to listen to people.

The State of Alaska also had problems with Gov. Sarah Palin for billing the food and other expenses to the state government at her home in Walisa.

Sarah Palin is no good mother for faliure to cover her son, Trig’s head during very cold weather while she walked down the plane stairway. That really made me sick of her unfit mothering!

Sarah and Todd are better off focusing on their children first when they get much older.

The Obamas surely know how to handle their two daughters whom they are more intelligent and well-behaved than the slutty Palin daugther with the redneck boyfriend and the the second daughter endlessly poked on Trig at the GOP convention. Todd Palin was next to that daughter. He didn’t paid attention to what her second daughter done physically to Trig like nitpicking on Trig’s nose and eyes.

We need to talk more about John McCain’s regin with Gallaudet Board of Trustee. He had done NOTHING for the Gallaudet community except Jane Fernandes and I. King Jordan.

    Hi ASLRisen,

Smile! I meant Sarah Palin’s Down Syndrome son, not Trig’s baby. Gov. Palin carried his son down the airline steps without putting any warm coverings or cap on her infant baby during very cold weather somewhere in the U.S.

FYI I don’t know Jim well, but he seems very knowledgeable and personable, from what I’ve read on GallyNet. I have a high respect for him, especially seeing how successful the corporation he set up is before he sold it. I was pleased to hear that he was appointed as a BoT.
