I’ve been friend with Tallie since we were 4 and have always loved her. The longer she was with Chris, the more absuive I have seen him toward her and when they broke up, I was so happy but when she moved down to NC, I heard that they were trying to work it out when Chris moved down there.. that was last time I saw her. I’ll always miss her. I know my father and her are chatting up there.. my father loved her like she was his own daughter over the years.. tallie would stay with me for a month every year, always had fun with her over. ILY always Tallie!

Puzzled, I have many contacts with people who know Tallie and Chris, so I don’t rely on the newspapers for main information.

For you and others, I am truly sorry for your loss. I didn’t know Tallie, but from what everybody told me, she was a very remarkable person.

I feel so bad for Tallie got killed… i m totally agreed with court that chris stay prison for long time…. she is my ex girlfriend we re together 8 yrs .. i can imaged if she didnt left me.. i m sure she still alive… but she did left me and met chris lambert i already warned tallie about him.. i knew him for long time… he is no good for her… sorry to hear about tallie antolin and i will always think of her,… she is such good person and sweet lady …

It doesnt make any sense to me between Mishkazena’s story and article from http://www.morganton.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=MNH%2FMGArticle%2FMNH_BasicArticle&c=MGArticle&cid=1173355589788&path=!frontpage.. Both are different story and Mishka stated “Chris called the police on a Saturday afternoon. Using the relay phone he indicated that he had killed someone. When the first officers arrived they smelled a strong odor coming from Tallie’s apartment. Chris opened the door and put his hands out in front of himself for the officers to put handcuffs on.” and on Morganton News did not say about Chris called the police at all. How did Mishkazena get that information.. Also Police smelled the odor from Tallie’s apt.. and Morganton news did not say anything about it.

I dont understand those two differnt story.

I know Tallie very well when she was at Gallaudet student and she was very sweet woman and friendly person. I dont understand why did Chris do this to her. My condolence goes to Tallie’s family.

you are absolutely right. yes definitely they are based on anonymoity. i should have not used his name but this is where i met him! i felt it was important to share about 12 steps recovery and that people do recover when sober. also important to share when people are active with addiction and that is what happens. thank you for your reminder

In my opinion, I doubt Chris will come out alive because he is diabetic. The medical treatment in prison is terrible. At least he is locked up for a looong time. This is not a happy ending for both families and all of us. RIP Tallie — even I only saw her once or twice.

Hi, My name is Daishun. I tried to post in your blog about Tallie Antolin but it wouldn’t let me post comment about it. I had received an update about Chris Lambert, the person who murdered her, that he is going to spend 33 years in jail. He is not going to spend life in jail or facing death penalty. He plead guilty for lesser charge so it gives him an easy way out by spending 33 years in jail. Question is: Will that give Tallie finally rest in peace or not. I am sure that would outrage the deaf community out there that he should stay in jail so he wouldn’t hurt other people. I wanted to see what really in the mind of deaf community think about the result. Here is the link that you can read maybe you can understand the court system and try to understand why they gave him lesser charge for only kidnapping and murder. What do you think of it? I would love to see if you add anything in the new blog. Keep on posting!

Tallie was an very good friend of mine and she was an friend to many others in the deaf community in New Hampshire. Even in school in Manchester, NH, teachers knew her very well. When I heard this sad news on the day of her death, I cried all day and it really broke my heart. I was hoping that justice is served that he stays in jail or stay in death row. But with him coming out in 33 years later, I don’t feel right for him to come out of jail and being out in general population. I am sure this new result coming from the court this going to upset many deaf people out there.

Welcome back, MZ! It’s good to see you commenting again!!

My heart goes out to the family of the young woman,..whose life was taken from her. My heart also goes out to those who have to face the societal consequences of the evil that is young man did!!

As to the sad story of this young murdered woman and this young man,..when the frustrations, which are forced on one by life,..build up and build up to the point that there seems no solution to those frustrations,..then a person will turn to drugs and despair.

What folks should be examining and most likely ARE examining are what caused the frustrations, which built up in this young man in the first place and how his frustration, which led to the death of this young woman,..could have been avoided in the first place.

Young folks must be taught that there is more to life than running away from life through drugs, booze, and sex!! Drugs aside,..it is the misuse of some of the good things in life that leads to frustration and situations like this!!

My only answer is to teach one’s children that there are more things in life that the instant gratification of a momentary pleasure!! And for some folks,..that is one hard lesson to learn!!
