Concerned, people ARE trying to help Gallaudet moving forward.

Davila needs our support, as he has repeatedly said.

And I’ve SEEN diversity during the protest – oral,late-deafened, hoh, deaf, and even CI users.

We can’t afford to put band-aid on Gallaudet and say, “Ok, this will take a little bit…put up with stings here and there…”

That happens if we don’t know how to fix it.

We know what needs to be done, but support is greatly needed to make this work.

Anyway…MZ, it’s really great that you are still keeping pressing on this issue – I know many parents and supporters are happy for this!

This will NOT go under the rug!

We can do so much to bring Gallaudet back – or even better!

Thank goodness for President Davila!!

I don’t know where you get the idea that Gallaudet doesn’t accept all deaf people. I was 100% oral when I went to Gallaudet and so did some of my friends. So did many of my students at Gally. As far as I know, Gallaudet was always inclusive in accepting deaf students with different communication backgrounds and will continue this tradition.

I’ll wait to see what history brings. I believe history will prove you acted maliciously with malcontent. This will vbe proved when Gallaudet OPENLY accepts all deaf people.

Pres. Ford pardoned Nixon because they were loyal friends. Do your homework.

Concerned Student: Please read the history of President Ford. I keep telling people that Pres. People wanted to punish Nixon.. sending him to jail, etc. But President stopped by pardoning Nixon. People were so upset. When people looked back, Ford did the right thing. The nation was healed afterward. Same for Gally.. the protest is not over until President Davila pushs Bot for pardon, then the healing process will start. Remember South Africa.. amnesty everyone.. peaceful country compare with Iraq. Wish President Bush has pardoned the people (not the killers or Saddam), i am pretty sure Iraq starts the healing.. I am still fighting until the protest is over. Don’t tell Elizabeth to go to the seaside and mediate. We are blessing to have her keep fighting until two demands met. Brian Riley did the right thing to do for the Community. We applaud him and many other people. Keep fighting. By the way, what was happening with Davila and the parents of students last Thursday. Please post. I am waiting.. .thanks

The second part of the protest is the quiet one. If you aren’t aware of this, then you are completely clueless. Had you paid any attention you would have known there were two demands: resignation of Fernandes and no reprisals for the protesters. They were waiting to hear from BoT. Did you doze last month when the students say they may demonstrate if the reprisals aren’t lifted?

Brian contributed to the protest tremendous. Obviously you are a Jordan/Fernandes supporter so it makes sense you would try to malign Brian.

When the second demand, no reprisals are met and the protesters are satisfied, the protest is then over.

We are the people who helped bring healing.

If a doctor prescribes medicine that tastes bad, would you say that the doctor has a “negative attitude”? Obvioulsy, no.

History will show that we did the right thing. The fact that you hide behind a fake name just shows more clearly that we are right.

Elizabeth, you say the protest isn’t over. Where is the protest continuing, I haven’t seen much evidence of an on going protest. Get over the fact that Gallaudet does not need the negative individual acquainted with it anymore, you being one of them.
Mr. Riley is a manipulator who is guilty of the same practices you all were crying over the administration. This is highly hypocritcal and no one enjoys a hypocrit.
Gallaudet is trying to move forward. Because you thrive on attention you can’t see you are doing more harm than good.
Take a deep breath, maybe go down to the seaside and meditate, picture the glass half full and you may realize your own negative attitude is not only hurting Gallaudet but yourself as well as your family.

Kim, yup, Jordan betrayed Gallaudet University big time and also damaged it severely.

Concerned, you would love to have people think the protest is over, eh? You know very well the protest isn’t over yet as the second demand, no reprisal for the protesters, hasn’t been granted. When Gallaudet cleans up its mess, then believe me, I’ll be the first person to praise it. Not only I, but others are impressed with Davila’s speeches.

Brian did a lot of good for Unity for Gallaudet. That’s why you don’t like him.
