Reprisal of Second Protester Lifted
Another protester, Allison Aubrecht had recently been informed that her position was reinstated and she’ll start working on Jan 3rd. Allison, a MSSD counselor, was fired for her participation in the protest, supporting the student protesters.
Allison was a rare person, someone who risked her job security to fight openly for the students whereby many other staff members remained invisible. The student protesters were very fortunate to have such a brave warrior among them.
So far this makes it the second protester who got the job back, which looks even more encouraging that there may be more positive changes ahead. If so, then healing can truly start and we can move forward to a promising future under the new Davila administation.
Have a nice Holidays and Season’s Greeting with your families and friends.

Question: Will she receive a retro-pay? Or she lost it? If no retro, then it’s a reprisal! I refuse to be excited till we know everything….

Best gift for all of us today!! We are watching for more amnesty of all the protesters. Not one protester should get any kind of reprisal. We are watching for more amensty and start the healing process. On Dec 22nd, it was Jordan’s last day… i was thrilled.. and looking forward to have new President.. hope he will encourage (push) for more amnesty. I promise you that everyone will start to have the healing process… then try to have counselors for these people who were abused by dsp and others. It is necesssary to counsel them. I am starting to see the light at the end of tunnel. Thanks thanks Elizabeth for sharing the good news. Happy Holidays to you all.

Thanks for sharing the great news! I agree with Carl that she deserves back pay. The punishment was 100 times more than the crime. Welcome back Alison! You are hero!

Yeah, I’d be curious what the rationale was in her reinstatement memo. If was a “…whoops, sorry, here’s your job back”, then retroactive pay should be forthcoming; otherwise, the interim action was punitive all along.
