They may have not learned a lesson, keep in mind there's new director of several months, and perhaps the Carl Dupree case was forgotten by DPS. However, this is a DEAF University and there's no excuse for not having the newbies to learn basic sign language! My husband who works there, told me that he was not able to get in his office yesterday at SAC. The new DPS officers couldn't sign and fortauntely, the old timer DPs office was able to clairfy that staff can go in offices. HOw can we communicate?? Especially there was alleged bomb threat and the students who were "blocking" the officer, did not know what was going on BECAUSE the DPS office did not commincate in sign language (where's the pen and paper on his person(s)?).
